A significant part of my career has been supporting emerging telecoms businesses both domestically and internationally. My global travels have allowed me to experience and benefit from the sense of community created by vibrant town centers and squares. Additionally I have been an extensive user of metro systems on all of the world’s major continents, seen how they tie communities together, support localized economic development, and make life more convenient for residents.
While on expatriate assignment in Toulouse, France for 2-1/2 years I was a very successful program manager for a project that had people in four countries across 14 time zones. My ability to work with people of different cultures and backgrounds, and manage project costs, was a key contributor to its success.
For the past several years I have been attending town council meetings and discussing town issues with several of our current council members. I have actively worked to elect people who believe in creating a shared sense of community for all.
Our family lives near downtown Herndon. The kids have been going to school in Herndon for almost 10 years. Our son attends Herndon Middle School and our daughter attends Herndon High. Both are on Herndon High School’s robotics team. I grew up in Montreal Canada. My mother was American & my father was British. My wife, Beth, is from New Orleans. She is an active fund raiser for Herndon Robotics (http://herndonrobotics.org ) through her heirloom seedling sale the first Saturday of May. (http://www.robottomatoes.org )
Recently I acquired a home inspection franchise and expect to open my doors for business shortly.
